"The beautiful bright ruby red colour sets the stage for an unusual tasting experience. The nose offers hints of red grapes, berries, raisins and toffee while the bready, fruity palate is reminiscent of a sparkling light red wine, making it a great food pairing beer, for instance with venison. Notes of fruit cake dark caramel, spice, clove, nutmeg and almond add complexity, though for a brut beer it leans slightly sweet. The finish is long, toasty and drying, with notes of liquorice and plenty of malt richness."
